hahahaha. I'll take what I can get. In all seriousness though, it had nothing to do with BRS or Neptune (though I suppose they are one in the same now). Orange is my favorite color, and my whole home is orange and blue. Tastefully done, I promise. I'll post some pics in a few minutes as a reply to prove it.
I totally get all the color coordination and I love it! I would have more in the house, but the SO will most likely veto....

I used to build mechanical keyboards and I built a custom lakers keyboard all color matching:

I am completely Wow’d by this build! Amazing! I love the amount of pictures we got with every step. I love the “dainty dictator”, Johann, the retractable canopy, the reinforced floor, the control board cabinet that I was drooling over and you said “rebuild it”! This is awesome. Love following along with a detailed, well thought out build!

Sweet! I have the keys to mod my KB, but haven't gotten around to it yet

I am amazed at the attention to detail at all the parts and the color coordination! Orange is not my jam, but if BRS doesn't sponsor this build, I am shopping exclusively at saltwateraquariums.
Okay, I promised I would provide proof that I wasn't pandering to BRS, though if they'd like to sponsor my home, I'd love to recoup some of the $$. Here are some pics of the rest of the first floor after the renovation and remodel. I'll be posting pics of the master bath upstairs as well a bit later in this thread, as it plays an integral part of this story:

Let's talk about this hot mess right here. I know that there's a lot going on here and the cable / tube management leaves much to be desired. Pardon the appearance, as it was slapped together knowing that it would be relocated to the fish room, but unfortunately life happened and the fish room got delayed, along with many other things; but, we'll get to that in short order.

This is the RO/DI system. A valve t'd off the laundry machine feed diverts water to a prefilter before being picked up by a booster pump. It then passes through a mechanical filtration stage for sediment before heading to a a silicate filter. From there, it heads to three stages that provide the following filtration: Carbon, chlorine / chloramine, arsenic / flouride / selenium. From there it travels through the first membrane, where waste water is sent to a second membrane. The clean water from both meet and then travel through three stages of DI before being sent to the FW storage tank. A TDS meter takes readings at three separate points during the filtration process, while an EC monitor takes readings at two. Various glycerin filled pressure gauges are positioned at key points, and the system has an auto backflow / flush setup. Control is handled via an APEX EB4, FMM, Avast Marine Works Barrell Tender, and a few controllable and pressure dependent solenoids. With the two membranes and booster pump, it can produce over 225 gpd. I should note that I also run a Finnex titanium heater in the SW tank that is run off of an inkbird controller.

Finally, after all of the struggle and heartbreak, after all of the lurking on forums and living vicariously through other people's tanks, after all of the obsessing, planning, and budgeting, after six years of being completely dry, IT WAS TIME TO GET WET!!! It was an emotional day for a lot of reasons, but there was no greater feeling than the hum of that Vectra firing up and moving water!

what happened to all the orange! jk looks great, I still regret running dye through my system... can never have clear water again lol
I keep my rigs black and yellow. Before this build, I had gone through 4 iterations of "Bumble Bee". I warned you that I'm OCD. :)

Gettin' wet!!! :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:

I assume you know we like memes and stuff here as well.

That meme reminds me of a wild night I had in Thailand. I could go into the details, but I don't want to get myself banned. Rest assured, however, that he was the most beautiful lady I had ever met...

Yeah, never again for me. A few years back, I ran Ice Dragon fluid with pastel yellow die. Ugh, what a nightmare. It gummed up and stained all of my blocks and tubing. These days, just RO/DI. Case lighting handles the color.

Thanks! It's nice to hear from a kindred spirit. It validates my crazy! Don't get too attached to the aquascape, though. I changed a lot of stuff. I'll be posting about it in short order as I continue to update.
