I never saw a real icicle until I was 21 in Indianapolis while in college. I got stranded there due to an ice storm that came through on my layover, and it was my first time flying as an adult, so I naturally checked in all my essentials. Got stranded in a hotel that didn't have supplies and was walking around Detroit late at night trying to figure out how to stay warm (native Houstonian that never saw real snow nor do we have clothes for that kind of weather here) and where to find contact solution, etc. I saw an icicle hanging off a corner store and it was wild haha
