Happy to report all new fish, starfish and corals are settling in nicely and enjoyed a supper of shrimp and coral food. Even caught a quick glimpse of the Royal Gamma. Sad to report the holes in the second set of coral racks are too small for the plugs. Maybe tomorrow I can see if I can make them bigger without breaking them.
I wish I had bought a frag rack today. Drove an hour south to check out a couple LFS and saw a few but passed them up. One of them had a mariner 100 and i couldn't convince the wife it would fit in her mazda cx-5 :grinning-face-with-sweat:

I almost think she was only pretending it fitting was relevant and it had more to do with the fact that my 120 isn't even finished yet :thinking-face:

Before i get anymore corals though, I have a mp40, 2 jebao sdw-16 and about 1200gph of return pump flow and i still have rather aggressive cyano issues. Maybe dinos as well but I didn't think dinos and cyano grew together as dinos would out compete everything for nutrients and i have high phosphates which would lead one to think not dinos? I have lots of flow, to the point where i think I might turn powerheads down a little bit and get a couple small ones for hard to reach areas, and I know @00W you had said you typically see cyano related to flow issues so I'm just kind of stumped. I did recently hook up a gfo reactor (ran it for like a day or 2 and my phosphates tanked so I shut it off) and i could cut back on the gfo and bit (use less/less flow) and see if getting phosphates down a bit helps? I'm pretty sure my rock must be leeching some
Best thing to do is post testing results and some pictures and we'll go from there.
I'm here all night till I pass dead out.
You got 3-4 hours. ;)

Here I leave the recipe for the Smorgasbord Recipe Book and in case anyone wants to try it ;) super easy
Ingredients
- 5 big malangas
- + or - 10 cloves of garlic
- salt
- 1 egg
- Accepts more seasoning if desired

Preparation
Grate the malangas and after grating them, mix them with the egg, garlic and salt.

Cook
Put a frying pan with plenty of oil on medium heat, when it is hot take a mold (mine was a spoon lol) and cook it until it turns golden or to taste

I'm seeing cyno in my little tank right now.
After I disconnected it from my big tank phosphates and nitrates have now hit bottom.
For me, there's a medium where both seem to even out and good algae outcompetes the cyno.
