A key point is that I don't do ICP, I dose what the bottles say, but the truth is I'm quite happy, the corals grow well, I don't have any algae problems or anything so something must be working.

You don't look like an idiot, you tried to help with your knowledge, it happened to me many times lol, even people sat on me instead of the OP to prove me wrong, but if that increases their ego, I let it go, turn the page and that's it, the intention is what counts my friend, I keep going to the unanswered threads, But it's the same thing I said yesterday, too many complicated questions about equipment and so on, the hobby is not as difficult as people are making it out to be lately.

It makes people like me who is still learning and trying to get things going overwhelmed lol. I like simple. I like cool equipment but at the end of the day I want to just have a nice tank and I know many years ago we didn’t have all that stuff and peoples reefs thrived. I appreciate when people like you and nor’easter reefer and everyone else offers good solid know how.

Good morning everyone. Waking up to another cold day today here. When it's this cold outside our heat pump has a hard time keeping the house as warm as I like it. It's 64 in my house this morningand I prefer it to be closer to 70.

You can add dry raisins or olives

I have had this before! A friend I use to work with was from Guatemala and she would bring it for lunch sometimes. We were always sharing lunches. It was very good she would add olives but I never had it with raisins.

You agree with Joel's approach as well? It just blows my mind because the new fancy reefing and old school reefing are so different yet still the same and obviously both can work but the new ways way more complicated and in depth... and I'm just here like "I like sticks..."

I'm in the same boat as you. I have a hard time understanding all the new complicated way. For me I just want someone to say do it this way in simple terms. No one in the Smorgs family has ever told me something that didn't work so I'm going to keep on doing what they all say.

There are many things that I don't understand and many corals that I would like to have, but if it works for me adding Mag, Alk, Ca and trace elements from Red Sea and changing 10 gallons every 2 weeks, why complicate my life chasing parameters or trying to imitate other tanks
