So, i went to a frag swap today! Or so i thought.... i drove 2.5 hours... get to some sketchy ish building, but it's a nice, well known town so can't be too sketchy... we go in. There's no signs or nothing about a frag swap but there are signs about the place we are supposed to go. We get up to the second floor where it's supposed to happen and then there's a random guy, skinny, late 60's maybe? Very eccentric. "Oh your here for the frag swap? Sign right in! Heres a note pad, name address and email!" We sign in, then he proceeds to tell us the frag swap was postponed because there were only 2 vendors that could make it (later learned this swap was only arranged like a week ago) but tells us all about the place, how it's all about the learning. I think its a non profit? He had like 8 good sized tanks, and one frag tank with zero frags in it.. says $25 to join(idk what I'm joining) and they can keep an eye out for deals and will call me to tell me when they find something. He also informed me he's an aquarium master and you become one of those by killing a lot of fish, spilling a lot of water, and getting lit up by stray voltage at least once.... needless to say, i wasn't impressed, he never let anyone know it was postponed and I saw a lot of people come in for the swap and heard him telling them to sign up as I walked out...

Also, aquarium masters run their systems out of sketchy looking warehouses. So you better invest in one of those, then i think you'll have checked all the boxes

thats sucha crazy story @Nor'easter Reefer !! reminds me of the time i went to a marble show (i love glassblowing and handmade marbles). as soon as i set foot in the building the marijuana smell hit like a brick wall and it was instant headache for me. i pushed thru though and enjoyed my time. was def sketchy though

Makes for great memories though! And i got a couple nice hammers on the way home at the LFS 30min towards my house. Wife felt bad because she could tell how excited I was so I was hemming and hawing(I think that's the spelling lol) over the two hammers so she told me to get both lol. She's a good sport. She only went for me, she only pretends to care about my tank lol. Now, if my zoas I fragged open up in the morning, then all in all, a good weekend. Getting my, as @VintageReefer would call it, not a lobo tomorrow so pretty excited about that
