I don't have dino or any of those algae currently but I am thinking of maybe getting this. What tank did you run this on? Also I am pretty new so how do you run one of these like I know you put it in the tank but do you need to do anything special?

Nope you just plop it in the water and turn it on. I had it in a waterbox all in one system in one of the filter chambers
