Well this little tank started off as my first foray into saltwater aquariums. I rapidly decided I wanted bigger tanks and went from an IM Nuvo 30l AIO then upgrade to IM SR60 AIO and then now my present reef is a 90 gallon AIO that started its life as a freshwater tank. The Cube is modded up with the rear chamber removed and cover replaced with Kraken Lid and had been used as a freshwater for about a year and a half. Current light will be NooPsyche K7 mini and either one or two Sicce wave pumps that push 270 gph. Keeping the Fluval hob filter for mechanical filtering. Nothing in it except water/sand/ some rocks so far. 3 were rock from the 90s rear chambers and 3 were dry rock I had on hand. Still mulling final? Scape. Might be a little while before I start adding inhabitants however as well

Exciting! What are your plans for inhabitants, mix ?
Well I’ve got mostly lps and some sps in the 90 , so I might go softy and do zoas and shrooms or stay lps only . I’m still a bit up in the air. For non corals I’d love to have a possum wrasse , basslet and maybe a couple smaller gobies like neon or shark nose.

I look forward to seeing what you put together. What did you do with the discus you had in the 16 gallon?

He passed away after several months. I had a few people willing to take him but since I had never shipped live goods ….just stopped eating :confused-face:

No pics. Just a quick update that I’ve noticed the “uglies” have kicked in. I’ve been trying to think if there’s anything I want to transfer into the tank. Considering my toadstool as they’re a good hardy softie and aside from a small Zoa bunch , the only softy in the 90.

Tank is almost ready. Just need to check params and do some aquascape changes. Even with a filter the Noop is still very blue. Shots in blue and white light from this evening. I had left the blues off after about a week as the uglies and algae had started to come in . Briefly on today to get the pics. Still trying to decide what to put in first.

It’s been a hot minute since I’ve updated this.Due to a bunch of reasons including moving, I’ve had to sell off most of the larger tanks stock and the 90 itself.in prepping for moving by early spring. So I’m putting the few corals left and my clowns, jawfish and hectors goby into this tank . Would’ve loved to have kept the big boy but with doubts I’d be able to find another place I could keep it…At least this way I keep my toes in it. Here’s the non fishy things. Just a few nems, Digi and stylo basically. Plus putting several of the rocks currently in the big one into this. Most likely this week.

On a side note, is it possible to manually adjust the NooPsyche mini so it isn’t so “blue”?

Well the large tank is tentatively sold. Sigh. At least this little guy is looking really nice a couple days after setting up. Haven’t moved the fish(clowns, jawfish, Hector’s)yet that’ll happen when the big tank is going. It’s tight but I think I can fit a few more, inexpensive, corals..

A few new pics from today. Corals are happy in new digs and I really like the Noop mini. Definitely could see getting the full sized K7 down the road.

Welp. Leak ensued, and not a little one.. Little tank no more. Gonna hit petco and get a 20 high plus cover while it’s still having 50% off tank sale.
