We live in a day of incredible technological advancements. Some of these advancements sometimes seem like they may be setting us back, while others make our lives as reefers more stress-free. One of the great ones is remote monitoring of your reef tank through cameras. Whether you need some peace of mind on a long weekend getaway, or maybe you just like to creep on your fish while you're at work...

Do you use a camera to help monitor your tank? Have you caught any funny behavior from your fish?

You creeping on your fish when you are supposed to be enjoying a nice dinner with your special someone:

Yup, I used the wyze camera. 20 bucks, and it's 1080p streaming with sound and movement alerts. Used it to watch the tank while away on vacations and to check in on it throughout the day while at work. Use it now to see what buttercup is up to

I put a camera on my tank when I go out of town but if there is a problem, I have no one to fix it so I'm screwed. :anxious-face-with-sweat:
Just like looking at my tank.

Kind of. I keep track of the parameters and sometimes take images of the fish and coral

when my tank was running i did have a camera in the living room where my dog would sleep while i was at work. you could see a decent amount of the tank, but not close enough to be able to monitor. i definitely plan on having a tank cam in the future :)

I'm in the process of setting up a new tank, and when it's ready to go I'll put a camera on it, mostly because my sister is disabled and she want to be able to watch the tank.
