Also I'm not ignoring the advice, I'm just ignoring the useless advice, MOST PEOPLE **not all** are giving advice like "this stupid little arrogant naive piece of.... doesn't know the amount of maintance..." then I ask what maintance and there is nothing that can't be automated. There were multiple people who have had tanks of this size, who I am PMing for actual advice. Thanks
I gave several examples of real life things that can and WILL happen that you cannot automate, and you're ignoring those.

So you're going to double up the pumps and keep one hot and one warm? What happens when the saltwater breaks both of them down and leeches into the system? This will more likely happen to the pump that's sitting there and not running. Who's going to mix and make the saltwater for you? I can surely say it takes more than a day to make as much as you'll need. You also need to test that water and the equipment making it regularly. Again, no automation for this stuff. Sure, you can automate the deployment of the fresh made SW, but not the mixing, testing, etc. You're not being realistic again...
This kid is ridiculous. I can’t believe people here that know what a reef this size takes are encouraging him.

If this was my kid I would literally rather him blow every dime of this “money” at the Bunny Ranch in Vegas than ATTEMPT to build this Frankenstein conglomeration that he’s attempting to ruin his PARENTS basement with. While he goes to “college”.

@jayden kolonne Do your parents know anything about this advice thread? There have been many valid points of advice given that might be useful for them to see. Are your brothers younger than you that will be caring for the aquarium when you are gone? Do your parents/brothers have experience and strong interest in reef aquariums? Without them being all-in, so to speak, I hope you/they realize the level of commitment they will have with this.

Though it seems that you are dead-set on your original dimensions and will do it anyway and it is your own/your family's money to spend how you choose, there might be better ways to approach this based on advice given by people with a lot of experience.

That is my thought on the contractor discussion: the main thing you purchase from a contractor is experience. It also does not have to only be a "general contractor" that is only doing the planning and coordination of the actual skilled workers/laborers for a project, which is too daunting a task for many who would rather pay the contractor, which does not seem to be your case (at least how it seems you see it; you would rather do that yourself). Contractors can also know how to source or have the skill and experience to avoid common mistakes or pitfalls. If you actually have this much available funding, it seems to me that one of the best investments you could make would be to involve someone with experience rather than being over-confident in doing it yourself.

Note that @Joe Glass Cages , with a lot of experience in making glass cages (and acrylic) as a profession, would not sell an aquarium with those dimensions with any sort of warranty: this means his experience does not agree with this plan with any level of comfortable confidence. Understand what is meant here.

I'm personally all for DIY when it is reasonable, but I hope you can see your own limitations when considering the scope of this project. I might recommend reading about the Dunning-Kruger effect; you may find it interesting. In relation to the monkey experiment, I am quite certain most who gave advice on this thread are not just trying to inhibit you just because "that's the way it is" alone, but are rather acknowledging reality from many previous experiences and trying to help steer you toward a path that is likely to give better success with your funding and probably be a better learning experience with success rather than failure.

I do not have enough experience to advise on high-end or large-scale lighting, pumps, dosers, automation, equipment, etc., so I'll have to leave that to others.

Just stop. We are clearly well past the point of reasoning with this person. The only option now is ridicule

I get it, I just hope it may be a learning experience to more in life than just a ridiculous pipedream.
Constructive criticism seems more helpful than destruction and mockery, but maybe this is just my optimism, who knows. I'll probably be gone from this thread soon if there really is no hope.
