Cut and painted the lumber for the control board and laid out the controllers. Drilling all the holes for grommets. I am about halfway done but taking a break to watch the football game

Built and painted the skimmer stand. Still waiting on a bushing because the skimmer water intake is metric:(

Rough cut the piping under the stand that connects to lines running to the basement. I am awaiting some true unions and fittings to attach the return line to the locline nozzles.

Thanks Les. Frankly, I probably wouldn't have entertained this build if the equipment was in the tank stand.
It’s definitely a huge plus. I will be putting all my tank’s equipment in my stand because I have to. It’s amazing how much space you need for a reef from water storage to QT and salt mix stations. I feel like true diehards actually design or choose their home layout around their reef vision. I don’t feel like moving, but if I did, I feel like a peninsula in just the right spot would be pretty amazing.

Looks awesome! I'm a complete ozone idiot so definitely following along to see how you set this thing up! lol
CO2 scrubber to air dryer to ozone generator to skimmer venturi.
you Must filter the skimmer drain to go through carbon.
set your desired ORP and it will maintain it. Personally I run it sparely

MESSED UP!!!
I couldn't insert the secondary open drainpipe into the bulkhead deep enough under the tank. I don't have a spare 1-1/2" bulkhead so another 2 day delay. I still have a few things to do with equipment in the sump. This happened because I glued a spacer pipe to the true union instead of the bottom of the bulkhead before putting it through the hole. I couldnt get a proper angle. Will be doing it correctly on the new bulkhead. OUCH:(

It’s all good, Dan! You’re doing great and take your time. It’s part of the fun & memorable journey. We all had our fair share of “mistakes” and usually thought of them as “opportunities”! ;)

I’ve had my senior moments, esp trying to plumb at 1am after a few adult beverages! lol

Actually, it has taken me almost a month trying to find plumbing parts for my new (to me) Abyzz 200. Gotta love the metric vs imperial fun - can’t we all agree on one standard?!? Hopefully I will get the right reducer from 1 1/4” to 1” next week.

I know exactly what you mean. I had the same problem. I THINK I have them all finally. You hit the nail on the head. I made this mistake late at night and yes, I did have a few adult beverages:)
