I have a 40 gallon breeder currently, which is a little over a year old now, and am looking to add another fish.

I have two clowns, two chromis, and and a scooter blenny, who have all been along since the start. I also have a peppermint shrimp, an arrow crab, a pistol shrimp, many hermits and various snails, a sea hair, an urchin, bubble tip anemones, and mushroom corals.

I’d like to add a 6 line wrasse or royal gramma… or both. What’re your thoughts on that or concerns I may not be aware of?

My personal experience with a 6 line wrasse is bad, very bad..
I would look towards a pink streaked wrasse, they are way more friendly.
Royal gramma should be fine.

Make sure to look at your Nutrients / export! if anything, those will tell you if you can add more fish.

Every RG I've ever had was very timid, I would not add a RG into a tank full of clowns and chromis (basically all damsel fish), it won't end well for the RG. I would add the 6 line and call it a full tank.
