Also, for the record, the photobombing tang is the one and the only thing I really picked for a stock for the tank...

I blame @pwfess for egging me on at the TG R2R sale for most of the new additions...I had only planed to buy enough to get free shipping on my stomatal snails...

That tang is gorgeous man....I want one. Also you will be there on 11/29/24 for the next TG R2R right?! :) I sure will ;)

will the 3 prong power cords from my sicce sdc 6.0 plug into the cell powa 1000?
What so you think of the sec pump? I am going to replace the varios4s skimmer pump with an old-fashioned venturi on my skimmer - and am looking for a power efficient option. And my options are looking like an abyzz, a iwaki or the sdc series…

I love it. 5 year warranty with registration. Customer service has been good. I clean it every few months. Love fine tuning the intensity as well as pre programmed wave modes. It’s good for the price

What return pump are you using ?
What exact batteries are you using ?

A key part in my battery backup system is an efficient, low wattage, dc controllable return pump. I don’t have my full system backed up like you do, but my return pump will keep my tank with flow, oxygenation, filtration, and allow the 15g water in the sump to continue to remain as part of my overall volume, for 40+ hours of no electricity.

The original plan was to execute using existing hardware from a previous age out of storage, but the energy budget could not be maintained. Also, new technology to monitor and assist that was beyond our prior experience now existed. As such, mission engineering called in an outside consultant in typical government fashion.
Mission Planning Notes:
Consultant recommendations:

Detailed Plan:

Archivist Notes:
The outside consultant's presentation was stellar! Mission governance weighed and measured the recommendations. The original plan did not include a solar budget. Backup energy was originally going to be supplied with an ancient energy source: a rack-mount industry-grade unlimited expansion UPS from Schneider Electric / APC. The merits of this system were debated vigorously with the consultant, but the ancient power source was already upgraded to life4po batteries and could sustain 4kwh....

/***** At this point, the reason why this is a Mars mission should be apparent, as the budget was quickly entering the domain of NASA. Also, the ancient UPS is still functional but has been mothballed again *************/
Project management and the program commit committed to a course of action:

Archivist Notes:
Like all great plans, the fail almost instantly... Supply shortages, delayed deliveries, Coralvue was late on fullilling componets, strong language was exchanged, and pressure was brought to bare. The resulting mess that insued ended up looking nothing like the plan as weeks stretched on...
1731199135507.png

And then there was the beginning and the end of all order...

****Security Access Limit Reached - Terminal Shutdown****
/************
So the original plan was to use two pumps, one ancient and trustworthy. That has already been in service longer then most people have been in the hobby, and in mothballs for an even longer time.

And a Varios4 pump

But as you all know - no plan survives encounter with ...

T-MINUS 8 days to mission launch (Tank will be fully autonomous till some time in 2025 with only an emergency crew on standby).
