Ugh I can't wait for the 16s to come out... im a bit sad I have the hds so I can't replace the leds themselvesYeah. Cheapest is AI, but shipping is just stupid.
Luxdium just released their new (unmeltable, better spread) lenses for the HD/26HD/52HD, and they've announced that the new 16HD/32HD/64HD lenses are coming in a couple months. If you absolutely need them now, get them from AI. Otherwise, plan on your next (and LAST) set coming from Luxdium.![]()
I hope the hydra 32HD led pucks are about $125 for the pair or under otherwise why would someone go through the hassle just get a used one and part out the broken unit lol.
And for those that swapped out for the 26, I am curious how difficult it is to swap them out.
Not sure if I would spend 200 bucks on just lens unless is absolutely significantly better lol but thanks for the response. The LED upgrades currently run $100 per puck, so $200 to upgrade a 26HD. I assume the 32HD pucks will be similar. The upgrade turns it into a whole new light with a better spectrum than any factory light. Not even a contest.
Are you curious how easy it is to swap the pucks? I've done 5x 26HDs and 7x Prime HDs so far. It only takes a few minutes per light, and I think the Hydras are easier than the Primes.
And after the upgraded, the light will control by the Lux app?
Even if you got them used?If you are replacing the lenses because they are burnt, file a ticket with aqua illumination they will replace them for free because it's a known problem with the lights. At least they did for all eight of the ones that I had.
I got a couple 26s running around... one with lux pucks in itUgh I can't wait for the 16s to come out... im a bit sad I have the hds so I can't replace the leds themselves
