Hey there,

Long story short, I had dinos so I upped nutrients and ran UV and the dinos disappeared but all the rocks became covered in this algae. It has slowly disappeared from some area of rock, so I think something is eating it, but I can't really see what. It's not completely going away though.

It doesn't grow long, it doesn't collapse when I take it out of the water. It's not very hard to remove manually, pulls right off in clumps and feels almost like those little decorative felt balls that kids use to make crafts.

Thanks for any input!

These are beautiful pictures. No idea what to call this organism other than a hair algae. Are the snails eating it? It looks very clean and appetizing :)

I can't tell if the astraea snails or the hermits are eating it, but something is... I think..
