I used All for Reef to raise my alkalinity from 6.5-8.2. Once my other parameters were where i needed them I purchased Seachem Reef Fusion 2 to continue raising just the alkalinity. I dosed the appropriate amount to raise my alkalinity by 1dKH but I haven’t seen any change in 24 hours. Does this product not work, or am I not giving enough time for the readings to show? Should I purchase something else? I’m confused because all for Reef was doing a great job at raising it, but then I start using something for specifically alkalinity and the numbers aren’t going up. Any help is appreciated!

All for reef works for maintaining, but if you raise alk, calcium tends to get really high.

I would use 2 part to make adjustments.

You could also use kalkwasser to boost calcium and alk.

Kalk and AFR have the same of alkalinity and calcium ratio. They are both have excess calcium.

That’s what I’m saying. Once my other parameters (calcium and magnesium) were where I wanted them, I stopped using all for Reef and started dosing just the alkalinity. The problem is my alkalinity is not going up using the product I purchased so I’m confused.

Sorry, I don’t know what reef fusion is but agree baking soda works well.
