Ammonia in Copper power

The bacteria can take a few days to become activated. Or, the ammonia is building up faster than that amount of bacteria can assimilate.

Sir i have 2 question :
for Hanna checker ( TAN ) what rate for Ammonia is safety for fish ? I read that less 0.20 should be fine is that right ??
Now my new tank seeded for 7 week and Today Hanna Checked 0.08 . So is that complete the cycle ? I just want to make sure before put the fish

That’s complicated: the toxicity of ammonia is dependent on the pH of the water. I generally say that at a pH of 8 or lower, ammonia at 0.20 is o.k. If the pH is higher, say 8.3, it is potentially more toxic.
If the ammonia has risen in a tank and then falls to 0.08, that indicates some level of cycling has taken place. However, the question then is; was there a constant source of ammonia for the bacteria to work on? If not, you may only have enough bacterial growing to consume a small amount of ammonia.

That’s what I call “nominally cycled” - meaning that there is enough beneficial bacteria to consume the ammonia load at that time. If you greatly increase the bioload, there will be some lag time as the bacteria needs to reproduce to meet this new load. That’s why the ghost feeding you were doing is helpful.

Today i see No3 appear after checking . So can i get cycle instant when i putting 3 liter of matrix from 3 year tank ?
So how can i know overload ? I qt 4 anthias on 120 liter tank with 3 liter seachem matrix from 3 year old tank is that enough Sir ?

3 liters of matrix from an old tank should be more than enough to handle the bioload from 4 anthias. Since we cannot see the bacteria, all we can do is make a guess. Then, use your ammonia test to confirm the bacteria is doing its work.

i have test Ammonia Hanna checker 3 time for 2 day is around 0.17 to 0.18 ( My PH 7.9 , Temp 24 C )
I feed 4 anthias 1 time day . So is that old bacterial from matrix working ??? Should i dose more bacterial bottle ?

I would feed the anthias 3 or 4 times a day, but less food each time (you do not want uneaten food to sit in the tank).

I think that residual amount of ammonia is o.k.

Are you testing for copper? I worry because I see rock in the video and that rock can absorb some copper from the water. You may need to retest for copper, and then add a partial dose to keep it at 2.25 ppm

No i still not use Copper, they just arrvied 4 day ago . And the shop keep it for a long time , so i still no have a plan for using copper . They are Pictilis anthias very easy to get Uronema . I have a plan to feed them with Metro soaked food , but now they still not eating , but more active than the first day
