Does anyone know of any free Android phone apps for 3-D printers? I have Google play store, not sure if that matters ? I just got a 3-D printer so I am a pure newbie lolol. I'm looking to making anything from nori feeders to ornaments for my freshwater tank. Also I know I cannot use just any filament.
It is an Ender printer.
Thank you in advance :)

What are you wanting an app for, designing models, slicing models, downloading 3d images?
I have a few ender 3 printers and I’ve always used websites to design or download models then a windows program to slice the model.

My Ender 3 Pro uses a micro sd card to put the file on the printer I’m not sure how hard it will be to only use a phone and not a pc.

I'm want to make a nori feeder and other little stuff to play around with. I ordered 2 pounds of ABS filament to play with

I use Thingiverse.com to download pre made 3D images but I normally do it on a windows tablet so I’m not much help with doing it on android.

Also, I’ve never used ABS but I’ve always been told you will have to use an enclosure with the printer because if the print cools off too quickly in a open printer it will warp and separate from the build plate.
I mostly use PETG for aquarium stuff because it’s fairly easy to print and safe for aquariums.

I have the cr10 pro and could never get my sd card reader to work (got mine used too). I created an account on the creality website and downloaded the creality app and logged in. I would download their slicer and upload your print files. I send all of my prints via the creality cloud and start my prints from the workbench on the website. the slicer will work from your phone or on their website but you have to wait in a que for other peoples slices.

I may be wrong but I don’t believe the Ender3 Pro has the ability to connect to a network to wirelessly transfer file.

I would suggest getting some PLA to do test prints and some PETG for your actual prints for your tank. I have never used ABS but have also heard you need to keep the printer in a surround for consistent heating. You will have some trial and error with figuring out what works for your printer with each material. Don't get frustrated just keep tweaking your settings until you get the right prints. you will throw away more prints than you will actually use.

For searching for things to print, there’s a 3d archive here on r2r, yeggi is great for finding things, thingiverse, printables, and makerworld, to name a few. Aside from the enclosure for abs and warping/adhesion issues, it will stink to high heaven and isn’t healthy to breathe so I would avoid it if indoors without a specialty or custom built enclosure with outdoor ventilation and probably hepa/carbon filtration.
