After many weekends and making a huge mess on the patio my aquascape is finally completed. I used Marco reef saver rock and Marco foundation rocks. All of the rocks are bonded together with BRS super glue gel, I then used about 10 sticks of aquarium epoxy to bond the foundation pieces together. For all of the vertical pieces I used Marco reef mortar. Some of the pieces started as Marco rocks underneath and then I sculpted over them with more mortar to create more shapes. After that was finished I went over all of the seams with BRS liquid super glue and oolite sand. Finally I used an extra piece of reef rock and sanded down all of the high points where I had applied sand to give it some highlights and a more natural look.
The aquarium is larger than the white boards so I should have at least 3"-4" inches of room on each side.
Total aquascape weight 86.6lbs
Aquarium will be Innovative Marine EXT 100
I'm open to any comments or suggestions!
Has anyone ever had any trouble adding shells to their aquarium? Is it possible for the shells to leak any chemicals or leftover detritus into the tank?
Thanks for taking a look
