Yup!

All large scale vendors send little goodies like this.

Regardless of their claims.

Some are better at catching them, but you can never catcha all pests with the amount of coral they push.

Take the frag out and use something to scrape it off.

Like a dental pick

Exactly this.

Pull it, scrape it, enjoy your new coral. We all do our best to eliminate pests but stuff like this will inevitably slip through sometimes at their scale.

I have gotten pests from EVERY vendor at some point. It falls on you to inspect, dip, quarantine if you want to.

My copperband and 5+ wrasses take care of most of the pests. I never dip anything anymore.

Yep most vendors of any scale have Aiptasia. There is no effective dip. Most vendors will aggressively try to control it but it is hard to completely eradicate in a large, complex vendor system with many pumps, extensive plumbing, etc. It is very hard to avoid introducing Aiptasia unless you have a completely closed system with an extended (many months) quarantine for anything coming in.

Army Guard GIF by NationalGuard

Well let's send in the National Guard

Took you 5mins to take and post a picture here

.... when it's a non issue with a razorblade and 5secs of your time

:face-with-rolling-eyes:
While it really isn't a big deal any reputable retailer that inspects the live stock before being shipped would have removed it.
ASD has been less than steller over the last several months. I won't bore you with all of the details of my experience.

Possibly hydroid as well?
We have been cycling a few groups of australian stripeys through each bin we have in the shop doing some major damage control on these.
Sorry to see that was not caught. We usually give everything a scrub with a toothbrush even if it looks like a clean plug. Those button scolys have been in here for only a few weeks so I am thinking hydroid personally.

Again my apologies please send us an email, we will make sure to get you taken care of for that nasty that escaped!
