Are there fish that can't jump out of an aquarium? Or just keep the tank fed?

I had a Darwin Clown jump out of my 55 gallon. It was a real shame too. She used to be an evil devil fish in her 20 gallon. I moved her to the bigger tank, and she was just starting to turn her life around.
It can happen when fish get too excited when eating or when you scare it, its a sad thing to hear

If it helps - the cycle is highly unlikely to die.

I have a 10 gallon QT tank I cycled at the beginning of last year that I’ve run very intermittently, approx once every six months lately. During downtime it’s completely empty except water with no rock or sand, the only cycled media is a cutout piece of filter sock in the HOB, I don’t even run the heater or pump.

Ive done occasional tests turning it all back on and adding ammonia, sometimes after 3+ months of inactivity, and it reliably processes it all about as quickly as when it’s running normally.

For peace of mind it wouldn’t hurt to dose ammonia, but you definitely don’t need to worry about adding livestock for the sole purpose of keeping a cycle going.

Thanks, that's very helpful advice.

How many azure damsels would you recommend? Do they do well as a small group?
Do not get damsels in your fish tank. Worse fish ever, very aggressive. Even if a specific one has the reputation of being more peaceful, they are not.

Extremely hard to catch once in the tank, so don’t get any.

I think a lot of times in this hobby we like to hope that incompatible fish will get along but it often doesn't work out that way.

Hello my LFS is delivering my aquarium next week, it's an Innovative Marine 100 gallon ext. My LFS is also bringing the water at the same time. I'm planning on using Dr Tims and ammonia for aquariums to cycle it. Also after it's delivered i plan on ordering a lid from Kraken lids. My thought is, if the aquarium is cycled before the lid arrives is there a good way to keep the cycle going? Are there any fish that are basically incapable of jumping out or should I just put food in the tank each day? I know that IM aquariums come with a lid but I don't think it will fit with the lights attached to the glass. Thanks for any suggestions!
Good rule of thumb I read on this forum...any fish shaped like a torpedo will likely jump out of the tank.

A seahorse

otherwise, they can all jump but some will jump out given any chance like a jawfish....or in my case, a midas blenny who would leap out the feed door when I opened it, one time even slapped me in the face....

and some occasionally jump out like a clownfish.

Doesn't IM have a eurobrace? or your lights going over that?
