Nice tank. I noticed an old picture of your orange shoulder in another thread where he was still changing colors and he was still quite large in 2022. I have a orange shoulder as well that I've had for 4 years now and he still has not changed, but judging from your photos I may still have another couple years to wait!

Thanks - it went from 2" to 9" In 12 month's. Everything in my system seems to grow fast but at the cost of high nutrients caused by overfeeding. I think if you feed heavy it will change faster. I mean I feed 4 times pellets during the day and at 6pm to 11pm i have a cup of frozen and keep feeding at least 4-5 times in smaller quantities

Beautiful set up! Where you get

beautiful set up! Congrats! Is the sump a livestock container?
Thanks, I got the sump from tanks and barrel from Florida. It's a polypropylene 240gallon container for aquaculture. If you got the space much better than a traditional sump. Its a mess right now but testing out a becket skimmer to see if I can get my NO3 down faster.

Some pictures of my Sump. Started dosing Phosphates continuously since they bottom out fast. I am dosing Vodka 33ml/day, about .1 PO4 per day, and 10000ml of Kalk/day.

Last time I tested my Nitrates were still above 100ppm. Hoping now that I dosing Phosphates and ramping up carbon dosing I can get it down.

I also added a second skimmer to facilitate the export of the bacteria faster.

So it's been over 2 years since I setup my closed loop and ecotech vectra failed to kick on after turning off. I was getting red/yellow flashing light so I finally removed the closed loop for cleaning. I avoided the task for along time since I thought I would get alot of water leaks or have a hard time reassemble. However didn't get any water on the floor since I drained the tank until the closed loop inlet was above the water line. The pump and pipes had a crap load of slime and gunk.

For the time being I added a seasweep with jebao pump, which works really well but I don't like the maintenence they require and don't trust them for safety vs 2 seaswirl

Nitrates still 100ppm+. I am trying to find a new home for 5 large turbos and if I could catch the Orange shoulder tang and hippo, I think it's time to re home them.

So I edited my first video on YT. I was holding of on the Youtube channel because I was waiting for my tank to be thriving. However, i think people would appreciate content that shows all the challenges I am facing and would be nice for people to see the journey. I had the footage of me fragging newly arrived corals so figured that would be a start. I didn't realize how low the audio would sound but now I know for next time.

They say you need catchy Thumbnails so tried my best.

Pls like share and subscribe so I can get to 100 subscriptions :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:

First SPS frag I can remember RTNing in my QT. This was one of the nicer frags Tropicana from frag house. Qt isn't the best but I am used to getting at least clean half dieing brown frags out of there. dang this stinks!!!!

First time working with acrylic and almost finished building this ATS out of spare parts. I wouldn't trust myself building anything air tight but aslong as it holds splashes I am good since the bottom 2" is leak proof.

Ready for Plumbing... I kind of get why these ATS are expensive. It took alot of thought in where to put this thing and execution. Now it's time to run 20' of plumbing.
