Best Fish Ever and Favorite Fish Ever: Are they different?

My favorite has got to be the pistol shrimp and yellow watchman goby. It amazes me how they work together and look out for each other!

Yes I just picked her up 2 days ago! I had to wait 9 mon for my tank to be enough established first but it was well worth the wait. Shes beautiful! Fingers crossed things go well. I've been dosing pods for months trying to get my pop up for when I got her so I think she will be fine. So mesmerizing to watch! ;Joyful

1. Best fish is definitely a tie between my one spot foxeface and majestic angel. Algae eating machines that pull double duty as tank mediator and benevolent master of the universe.
2. Favorite fish is a blonde naso tang. Can't wait till I can upgrade my system and house that toad along with my current stock. Someday.

I would love a clown trigger but it's not reef safe.

I would love a sohol tang too, but its too aggressive and my 220 gallon is probably a little small for an adult sohol tang.

Yes butterfies very smart interesting fish..eats all the good foods no problem , yellow longnose with the black mask was favorit fish , out of about 20

Yep I have a clownfish named bubbles weird story with him, I thought he died and about 3 months or so later I found him IN my old tank in the filtration system I think. He’s about 5 years old I think, idk if he’s a boy or a girl, he’s the only clown in the tank can anybody say whether he’s a boy or a girl?

My dream fish is the Naso Tang. I’ve wanted one since I was in high school and had freshwater tanks. I now have a baby that’s approximately 3 inches long. He’s very sweet and will take nori from my hand. Definitely one of the loves of my life.

I would say by far my most favorite fish ive ever had is a shadowfin squirrelfish.
So kool. Hardy. Great personality. I was very sad when he or she passed. I cant even remember what happened. :/

My absolute favourite in my reef tank. Eats absolutely anything including flake, doesn’t touch a single coral and hand tame. Love it to bits

My favorite ever was a Clown Trigger, even though he bit me once badly. These two I think are my next favorite. A pair of Singapore Anglers

My favorite is clownfish, just the way they swim around is just hypnotizing, but my favorite fish I've had so far is my Yellow Watchman Goby or Gezer (as my family and I call him). He just looks grumpy 24/7, he has his own "lawn" (GSP patch), all in all, he has a lot of character.

How does one choose .....



Most unusual is the zebra tang. I haven’t seen one for sale in years and the last one I did see was stupid expensive. Is it my favorite, dunno. I’m partial to leopard wrasse and I have a bunch of different species. Best ‘worker’ is the dusky wrasse ....chevron a close second.

Eagle or Bat rays. Unlikely I'll ever keep them.

Honorable mention of Leafy Sea Dragon, definitely will never keep them.

Realistically, Yasha goby pair with shrimp. Not currently.
