I cut the water to just below the emergency drain compartment.

Mostly interested in keeping it operating silently but when I was also using the emergency drain it was splashing water in the sump area and causing moisture in the cabinets.

I have a great lfs I go to twice a week and I was able to source all of the parts without issue in store without delay.

It’s running and operating and housing fish so I can’t wait for mail.

My ato float valve is currently leaking which is less of an issue as it’s filled with saltwater currently just cycling back over filled sump water.

It’s an issue but I’ll fix it on my day off as I just realized it was happening.

I just started using the ato because the bulkhead was leaking (fixed Tuesday) to find out the float valve is also leaking haha.

Is it normal for the sump return chamber to be so “full?

I ditched the ato for a 5 1/2 gallon on the bottom shelf with a tunze osmolator
My tunze is currently still operating my 15g system which will eventually be combined into this tank once I feel comfortable that the tank won’t tick off my anenomes. My timeframe is 5 weeks for the tank to “mature” as I did have to add 18# of dry rock and likely another 10-15# to build more structures for these dwarf angels to stop beefing haha

Really? Just did my first fill took me 20 seconds and I didn’t spill. I found it super easy haha.

Although my custom made one for my 150g one is only 30”-5” wide and that thing requires its separate pump to fill. That is a real pain

It was really bad until I beefed up my clean up crew.
What’s the contraption above your current return nozzle? Looks like a turbo haha

Are you running the RB photon?

Sick tank!

Also those rocks did you glue them in yourself? Or did you buy a fabricated piece?

The Plank auto feeder

Yup, photon 48v2 from the marketplace based on Vintage Reefer recommendation
Sick tank!
Thanks, I am happy with how it’s coming out. I’ll be happier once I beat the brown algae.

I did it all myself at different times, but I used 3 different brands of purple colored dry rock.
1 box of caribsea shapes
1 box realreefrock mix
2 boxes of Marco perfect mix coralline color

This tank was an upgrade coming from a 60gal cube. I recently started a build thread that explains going from the cube to this 83 gal tank.
