What big and non aggressive saltwater fish should I get for my 36 gallon, I dont want it to be able to eat small fish, but I do want it to be like a tang or a butterfly fish. Thank you

As said in your other thread tangs and butterflies are a no go. Biggest fish you could have would be a cherub angel, those swim and graze a lot and are small

I don’t think you should have any “big” fish in a 36 gal tank. I can’t think of a single tang or butterfly that would do well in such a small system long term.

Maybe a single dwarf angel (flame or coral beauty). A long nose hawk fish would work. Even a Toby puffer. But not a tang or a butterfly.

Ok thank you for the Toby puffer suggestion, and I know some of you may respond, I have a green spotted puffer. He is very peaceful and I don’t think he should be a problem
