Just wanted to share with anyone here :

So far I have had this box running since the end of rap (so I guess about 3-4 weeks ?) it has grown ISO , Tet, Nanno, and rodo with ease and has extremely fast growth to where you can harvest every few days with all these strains (due to the light and powerful air pump)

I also have it doing tisbe and spice / tigger all in the box (these pods get placed on the other side of the glass Phyto bottles which are up against the lights

Pods have also been harvested several times and grow super fast when feeding the live Phyto

It has 2 types of Led one is a blue red white spectrum (mostly blue red) the other is a white / yellow spectrum

It has a smart Wi-Fi outlet so you can have the lights turn off whenever you want

I recommend running these lights at 50% unless you have large containers (1 gallon or larger) full which you need to harvest very quickly

If you guys have any questions please let me know the black box is from ikea like $35 or so

You can use any pumps you want but this specific pump is like $30 on Amazon and has the power of roughly 8 , smaller $10 pumps so it can power the whole box with room to spare in most cases

So total set up anywhere from $100 - $150 depending on how many bottles you run but it can be made with any box of course if budget is less

I just also credit reef legends and he had a similar box first at this past rap which is where I saw the idea - so props goes to him hope he sees this lol

It also goes without saying that sterility is extremely important for these Phyto so make sure to sterilize every bottle and air line that goes into the culture

Just wanted to show the quality it produces using nothing but f2 (these are typically 3 day harvest time splitting 1 part original culture to about 4 part fresh salt) but the nano can do it in 2 days

Light schedule is roughly 14 on 10 off give or take (all species microscope verified) another post for another thread (getting the wrong Phyto species in the mail) we have seen it !

This is rodo and nanno- the tet gets just as dark as the nanno the iso stays a bit lighter for us but is a nice amber color

It may be hard to tell but the density here is super high of living cells

I have also mixed the 4 species equal parts and that’s what I dose my tank with (refrigerated)

Density on the right is rodo from a big name place - same species / different density , not sure what type of lights they use but seems if they are not watering things down then their culture is under lit or was harvested early perhaps

Any updates after a couple more months of culturing?

I'm running a similar setup but not as neat and tidy as yours. I think I may be OVERKILL on the lights on my most recent vessil so I may need to crank the light down a LOT!

From your experience, how do I know if I am pushing TOO MUCH light into the culture?
