Bristle worm id- from ocean

I went swimming this weekend and saw a few of these right at the shoreline. I was shocked because in all my years swimming in the ocean, I have never seen anything dangerous (where my kids swim). Except for jellyfish. But this bristle worm actually brushed up on my leg. The beach this is at is in Hong Kong if that helps.

I dont think thats a normal bristle...and redness or swelling where it touched you?

I found this link. It's a rare occurrence but does happen. They are Chloeia flava fireworms also known as the golden fireworm.

How you found this astonishes me!!! I had no idea such a problem existed. I almost wanted to put it in my tank but erred on the side of caution and glad I did. Next time I’ll bring gloves. Really appreciate that find.

Nothing. It barely grazed my leg near my ankle. I have hairy legs, so that probably helped - sorry for that ;Dead
