Hi guys,

I have a QT tank currently running with copper power @ 2.35. I have a bunch of these Fauna Marin Bacto Balls laying around the house, I was just wondering if I could use these in my QT tank? Any issues with them absorbing copper?

Here’s the link to what I’m referring to

Thanks!

I don't know, they don't really divulge the material that is used.

One way would be to test it. Put some copper treated tank water with a known copper level in a bucket with some of these, aerate it for 24 hours and test the copper level. If it drops, then the balls are pulling some copper out and should not be used.
