I want a filter sock holder for my sump that holds the standard 4 inch round sock. I have a traditional sump with a 3 inch horizontal edge all around the edge. All the holders I have seen are made to slip over a vertical edge. Can someone make a holder that slides in horizontally and tightens down with some screws? I want to use it in another location in my sump. Thanks.

Can I second this request? I am looking for a better solution than zip ties and s hooks for my sump.

I’d like someone to come up with a filter sock chamber, that would reverse the flow on Filter Socks, so the dirt is on the outside of the sock. There would have to be a Removable Cage, to be placed inside of the sock, to keep it expanded.

That's an interesting idea. I wonder if a 2" bulkhead, with said cage attached, through a baffle would work. Whole chamber would allow detritus to settle out, water flows through filter sock then through bulkhead into rest of sump. If the filter gets clogged, water simply flows over the baffle and gives you an audible indicator that your sock needs changing.

I expect the only challenge would be locking the filter sock onto the bulkhead/cage so that it is effectively sealed. Different cages for diferent length socks... Might be a cool and fun idea to try out.
