I did a deep cleaning of my 13 gallon yesterday and decided to dose with reef snow to help with detritus and algae drifting around. I used about a quarter teaspoon of calcium carbonate and a little over a half cap of Microbacter7. An hour or so later I went by the tank and everything looked awful. Zoas closed up, bubble tip shrunk but not all the way encased, a chalice just blew up and lost a LOT of skin, an elegance and maze brain tried to be survivors and grew a thick slime coat. I'm super worried about that maze brain. It's usually all puffed up and SO healthy. I've included a video I took before work this morning. Oh my Royal Gramma was dead this morning but he's been acting lethargic for a few days - I guess this was all too much for him.
I did take out water twice yesterday after this and replace it. I also used Seachem Stress Guard to help with additional slime coat. What are my next steps? I am most worried about my bubble tip and the brain.
Here is a video I uploaded to YouTube. I'm filming through one lense of some reef glasses and they get in the way - sorry.
