When I was first in college, my father wisely told me never to put more than one question in an email, the rest will get lost. At risk of the same thing happening here, I ask:

Does quality of vodka matter for dosing? does the $7/bottle work as well as the $25/bottle?

Can everclear be used and the dosing be scaled according to proof? eg. dosing 40% the amount of 198 proof everclear vs. 80 proof vodka.

In college, did the $7 bottle work as well as the $25 bottle?

Since he only asked the question 26 minutes ago, I doubt he has any answer yet lol

But the answer will be that it should not matter.

Now, well past the KO and SOCO days, the next morning is a lot easier with the $25/bottle. hence the question. subtext, what's the tanks reaction to impurities in the source, if any?

Unlikely to be any detectable difference (IMO), and there's certainly no data bearing on that question.

makes sense that the impurities in 6ml of vodka are negligible, certainly against whatever is in the atmosphere.

And the fact that the known impurities in vodkas are compounds that bacteria can metabolize just fine.
