Hello everyone We need your help urgently. My cleaner shrimp, which has been with me for 40 days and has changed its shell once, started acting like it was frozen after adding a fireshrimp to it today. He's alive, his little mouth is moving, but he looks like he's completely frozen. I even took it in my hand, it bounced a little and I took it apart. There is no change in all other fish and corals. Why might he have done this? Also, since Bluetang has blue spots, I gave garlic food along with Seachem Stressguard and garlic with carlics food. It must have eaten all the fish, could it have harmed it?

I’m Not sure what this means “I even took it in my hand, it bounced a little and I took it apart.”
Can you explain this better?
Also, What are your water parameters?
Also, I’d stay away from garlic for your fish.
There is no evidence of a benefit for fish and garlic is very acidic.

This often happens when they are entering a molt/molting and the worse thing you can do is to disturb it. I understand the reaction. The other thing associated with a molt is presence of black dots on the shell.

His expression was distorted, so when he stood as if he was paralyzed and I saw that Fireshrimp was going after him, I got a little nervous and decided to separate him immediately. When I held it in my hand, it jumped a little to escape and showed a reflex to hold on to my hand. After that I separated him and put him in the puppy pen. I did this because I felt like fireshrimp would damage it if I didn't put it on. My water values are nitrate 15, phosphate 0.02, kh around 9.5, pH 8, temperature 25.7c and salinity 1024-25.

I think you are right my friend. As you said, I just examined it and there are black spots on it. But I got a little nervous when Fireshrimp climbed on top of him, do you think I should put him back in the tank?

Leave him undisturbed. If you are going to release it, do it at lights out and allow to drift out of acclimation box, - DO NOT handle it

Garlic is an immunity booster and this has nothing to do with parameters but molting as confirmed by OP

Thanks for your comments. First of all, I use garlic for white spot disease on my bluetang. It's not something I give regularly. Secondly, I think it is definitely changing its shell. He makes movements such as trembling from time to time. I think I won't disturb him any more and will leave him there until the morning. When I leave in the morning, I will gently drop him off. Because I think the situation of throwing shells has begun

Maybe an immunity booster in humans but there is no proof of it’s benefits for marine fish at all.
There are actual things you can feed your fish that are ocean based if you want to build your fishes immunity. Again garlic is very acidic and anecdotal at best for marine fish.
Marine fish do not consume acidic foods in their natural environment.

I am not personally familiar with such details, but it was good for my bluetang fish, which had white spots before. That's why I'm trying again. I also use Seachem Stressguard, about 1-2ml. This little friend of mine gets white spots regularly :)

Was it the stress guard or garlic that helped or did you use both at the same time?

See link below. I labeled it as an immunity booster although I rarely recommend it. There are mix experiences with hobbyists and I myself rarely if ever add garlic extreme as i do so with selcon and the last previous decades Vita-chem which has better advantages.

My friend at the store told me about stressguard while I was buying fireshrimp today. He said that it would be good and that it would not harm the tank. That's why I bought it and started adding it today. So I can't say anything exactly, but I felt the effect of garlic on the white spots before. Apart from the food soaked in garlic water that I have prepared myself, I also give it to NLS Thera A. I feed them all with frozen food once a week, but there is no garlic in it :)

Thank you for sharing that thread. I read through some of it and still it’s anecdotal at best.
I side on the fact of how acidic it is and how that might affect the digestive system of the fish.
For fish that are picky eaters or challenging to get to eat I’ve found live food works best.

One of the more detailed articles Ive seen on garlic use

A great article that I have not read before thank you for sharing.
The only trial that seemed to have an effect was a concentrated compound that was injected into fish,
(Allicin).
This compound is also a compound found in garlic.
Garlic also contains many other compounds as well, that make it acidic. These compounds have yet to be studied with effects on any fish.
Feeding food soaked in garlic juice or food that is made with prossed garlic showed no provable effects. In fact to the contrary people have reported their fish health declined from feeding garlic or garlic based foods.
Personally, feeding things not naturally found to the fish, I’d avoid.
If it works for Someone or makes them feel better about themselves that they are doing all they can to help the fish, more power to them and that is great.
Thank you for the information I enjoyed reading the article.

Thank you for everything but we lost him. Unfortunately, I took his dead body out of the aquarium in the morning. I think putting him in acclimation box prevented him from molting and killed him. I'm very sorry, but these are all experiences.
Sorry for your loss.
