First tank and fish. The one clown is doing great but my other guy seems to be struggling. Added 4 days ago. Still gets up and moves around to eat. Added the air stone last night to help his breathing and been adding garlic guard to food to help boost immune system. What do you think is going on? I cant see anything externally visible on him. Water sits at 79 to 80 degrees and all water parameters are spot on and haven’t changed since being added.

Could you post the video as a YouTube link? Attachments don’t agree with mobile on r2r.

Whenever I hear one clown doing great but the other acting off, my first guess is usually aggression. Fish can be very good at hiding aggression when you’re watching.

How do i make it a YouTube link?
I don't really know the answer to this, but my best guess js that you create a YouTube account. Make your video then share it to said YouTube channel. Then create a hyperlink here. That's my best guess. I've got to do the same thing........

When i get home i will do another parameters test and post the picture. Tank is a month old, and 15 gallons. Last test this morning high range ph was 8.0, ammonia 0 ppm, nitrite 0 ppm and nitrate 0 ppm salinity was right at 35 mark
Also, age of tank, size of tank and all parameters.

It looks like the dark one is struggling against the current, but that doesn’t explain the orange one.
Definitely a rapid respiration rate, which can indicate velvet. Usually that is associated with swimming into flow though.
I assume the fish weren’t quarantined?

Try setting up a camera and watching the recording. You may notice some aggression.
With no qt and preventative treatment, I can’t rule out velvet as a possibility. If so, you’d have to treat the fish with copper in a qt for 30 days, leaving the display tank fishless for 6 weeks.

What would be a good sign of velvet? Should i remove him tomorrow into his own tank and start a treatment just in case? Would i need to worry about the black guy after removing clown in question?

With velvet, you are primarily looking for a fish to be swimming into flow, swimming erratically, and breathing very rapidly. The disease gets its name from a velvet-like mucus coat that is developed, but you usually don’t see this until near death, if at all. Generally, if untreated, affected fish will die within a few days.
It is highly contagious, so it’s safe to assume that any exposed fish is infected and needs to be treated.

Since i dont see any signs of velvet or ick, i will go grab a little 10 gallon tomorrow and put the clown not doing so well in their and see how he progresses throughout the next week or 2. Will keep my good clown in my show tank and keep an eye on him. Thank you!
