Having recently jumped back into the hobby after a few years of break, I've decided to take a different approach this time with livestock and as much as I enjoy and want to support local businesses; we just don't have any LFS that appear to take things serious regarding quarantining, pest control, etc. I of course could take on the quarantining myself but right now, I want to keep things simple. I also know if I look at this hobby as a chore, I'll just get frustrated waiting and will ultimately end up cutting corners looking to fast track things. Thankfully, there are reputable people that take on this burden for those willing to pay a little more to not have to worry about the quarantining. Many of them are sponsors here as well very well reviewed and where I'll be using them in the very near future; I wanted a pair of clownfish that were unique and not just something readily found.

In my search, I came across another vendor feedback post commenting on Clownfish Corral. The post read like an ad and even contained comments from other members how it looked like an ad. I had the time and I wasn't finding anything super interesting elsewhere so had little to lose to research. What I found was some really cool and unique clownfish. More research and a YouTube video provided additional information that the post I read was real and not just a self promoting ad.

Krista at Clownfish Corral provides a ton of information on the clownfish she is both breeding and selling including WYSIWYG videos. I also really liked the fact that some of her clowns were paired up (again alleviating future compatibility issues). So after watching all her posted videos of her clowns, my wife and I settled on a pair and decided to place an order. Krista quickly reached out thanking us asking us what delivery date would be best (as well asking and making sure our tank was cycled and ready for the new fish). A date was picked and the day of shipping, she sent videos of the new additions prior to boxing up as well after being boxed up. The clowns arrived the next morning well packed, safe, and plenty warm from their long ride half way across the country.

After acclimation and adding them to the tank, the new clownfish have quickly become a family favorite. Eating like hogs and adapting well to their new forever reef! If you're looking for a unique pair or even one clownfish, I highly recommend taking a look at what Krista has to offer over at Clownfish Corral
