I came across a thread a while back where people mentioned that multiple dwarf angels would be fine in a 75-gallon tank. Several users shared their experiences successfully keeping multiple dwarf angels in that size tank. I’m planning to buy a couple soon, but I wanted to double-check and confirm that it’s okay before making the purchase.

I had an established lemonpeel brutalize a coral beauty to death, but……

I currently have a lemonpeel and a flame angel that were introduced at the same time and have had zero problems.

You’ll probably be ok with the CB and the Flame, but there’s obviously no guarantees.

Could work, but if you got already one i would introduce the second in an acclimation box and watch both.
I have both in a 200 gallon and i had the coral beauty first for a year before i introduced the flame angel, the coral beauty chased the flame angel for weeks and that is in a 200 gallon. Now they live peacefully together.

Your best bet is to buy and introduce them at the same time but that being said, I personally wouldn't do it in that size tank. I have not had good luck with dwarf angels and aggression.

I purchased and introduced captive bred coral beauty and black spot swallowtail (genicanthus melanospilos) angels at the same time. They’re the same size currently at 2-3” and are best friends right now. The swallowtail though is not a dwarf and would eventually be too big for your tank (max size 8”), but it has the great advantage of being reef safe.

I've had mixed results and it seems to depend a great deal on the individual specimens demeanor. It would be best to quarantine your choices together first to make sure they are compatable.

What size tank do you have?
