Coral Gopher!?

Images are the best I could get so far. Will try to get a video uploaded soon. Something is living in this goniastrea. Almost like it has a tunnel system with 3 different entrances / exits, Coral Rx seemed to have no impact on it. Coral gopher or something. Had it in a QT tank for about 45 days now.

When feeding the coral you can see food being sucked in and also food being expelled. Usually from different parts of the ‘tunnel’.

Ok so doing more homework on this I’m guessing this is related to Endolithic Mussels (Leiosolenus spp.) now just need to figure out how to deal with it! Anyone have experience with this?

If I was you I would just dispose of the coral. Sometimes it is better to take zero chances when dealing with coral pests.

I wonder if I could just super glue the tunnels to kill it? Or do I need to cut it open like this? 28:15 mark
