First pic is my live rock currently. Second one is when I first put it in the tank from my LFS. Just verifying that’s coralline algae???

It is real live rock. Others in the tank were dry rock.Wierd ur glass wouldnt have… this real rock?
3.5 months. Live rock from my LFS it didn’t have nearly the color as it does now. The lighting makes it hard to tell. I do clean the glass but not the back wall. Starting to see some discoloration on my power head. Just unsure. I don’t want to dose it if I dont have to. Reason I bought the live rock. I don’t mind being patient. Better pics. How much time has passed between pictures and was the rock live when you initially purchased it? It is hard to tell with the different lighting spectrums. To me it just looks either like old coralline or artificially colored rock. I don't see anything on the overflow or glass.....although you could just be keeping that clean
yes, kudos to getting LRFirst pic is my live rock currently. Second one is when I first put it in the tank from my LFS. Just verifying that’s coralline algae???
So do I wait longer and see or start dosing ?Agreed with above. Once coraline starts growing, it grows everywhere. Powerheads and glass are just as likely as the rock.
Dosing what? Coraline in a bottle is snake oil. Just scratch some off a snail or hermit. Otherwise don't dose anything you're not testing for.So do I wait longer and see or start dosing ?
