I had a similar problem with GHA. I removed as much as I could manually and spot treated with boiling RODi water where I couldn't get to by hand. Then I slowly increased my turbo snail population until I had enough to keep it under control.
It took several months, but my corals are finally looking better than ever. I still have to occasionally pull a tuft out by hand, but for the most part my CUC keeps it cleaned up.
The turbo snails won't do anything for algae on the substrate. I keep cerith snails and a couple of conchs for that.
