I noticed these things on my hammer at the base and on one of my montiporas this morning. I’m assuming they’re bad. Can someone help ID?

I’ve read the only way to get rid of them is to manually remove them. I appreciate the response!
Bumblebee snails will decimate them. They cleared my tank of them about 2 years ago. I haven’t seen one since.

Love that you have a sense of humor. Yes i think that there is some irritation caused by your pests, but i think that is only a stressor. We should look at all other aspects as well. tell us about your lighting, def give us some parameters for your water, and hopefully we can figure out whats going on. The pods, ill be honest, damaging coral is typically anecdotal at best (some opinions vary and thats fine) but typically they only go after struggling coral. What types of coral are we specifically dealing with? the green one looks like a wall hammer or elegance, and it appears to have been struggling for some time.

This is the best picture I have of the hammer. The other is a plating montipora but was flipped upside down. I have T-5’s over the tank right now, aqua blue special and coral plus bulbs. I’ll get the testing done when I get home tonight.
