Could 3-4 blue-green chromies coexist with 2 yellowtail damsels in a 65g tank?

I currently have 2 yellowtail damselfish who get along well being temporarily kept in a 20g tank. I'm setting up a 65g soon and I'm considering what else I could add to it. I really like to keep multiple individuals of the same species when possible and I have a soft spot for small fish, so I was looking into fish that could be kept in groups in a tank this size that wouldn't be bullied by the yellowtails. I was reading on blue-green chromis, which apparently tolerate each other but can be quite territorial and agressive among themselves and to other fish depending on the circumstances too. Has anyone kept these two species together? Is there any way this pairing could work? Thanks in advance.

Chromis is a damsel fish, so you will have a tank full of damsel fish. Very hard to say if it will work, I would suggest that ample amount of rockwork will increase the odds.

I'm aware, I actually came across them on my lfs' listing of damsels. l wouldn't mind a tank full of damselfish in principle, provided they don't kill each other lol. The two I currently have essentially live in a pile of rocks and I think that's part of why they mostly get along, so I'll definitely replicate that in the new tank regardless of what else I might add to it.

Love the name by the way! Fellow Doors fan here

Chromis are ok if you have 1, sometimes if you put a bunch of them together they will kill each other off until you only have 1. When you add a bunch of chromis, you'll also likely get a side order of uronema with them. There's very little treatment available, and there's no way to get it out of your tank, no fallow period, nothing. Do a search for it, it's a real threat with chromis. I was naive to it until a buddy of mine kept pointing out chromis with red bruises in LFS tanks, and a week later the tank would be empty...I see it almost everywhere I go to shop for fish now. I would be hesitant to introduce another chromis in my tank.

I have tried this twice in a 75g. First a group of 3 and a few years later a group of 4

Both time had the same result. You end up with 1 chromis.

Gradually; one grows larger or faster than the others. The smallest of the group becomes excluded. He gets picked on and dies. Then they take out that behavior on the next smallest. Eventually, you end up with just one.

You have two damsels also, this is not a good setup. They get along well…for now…because they are young. As they get older they become aggressive. Child behavior is not an indicator of adult behavior.

I had a trio of chromis for just under 2 years. Lost them when a trigger decided they were appetizing but I had one become larger than the others and the other two followed him around
