diatoms

I just wanted to know if diatoms in a tank that is 5 months old are normal. Green algae slowly appearing

Yes... Your tank is still a baby. You are still in the ugly stage.

My tank is at the 7ish month mark and only recently started getting rid of the diatoms, but I think that might be partially attributed to me recently changing my lights as well
