In the process of trying to take it off the frag I broke 1/3rd of this plate off and those two pieces I glued in the tank with hopes it’ll grow into another. Did I just kill the entire coral by doing this? I feel awful.

It will be stressed from being fragged but both pieces should grow into colonies

In future you can get frag cutters and cut the stem off the frag plug and then glue the disk to rocks. Coral will encrust over it and then onto the rock and you won’t even be able to tell.

This large raja rampage chalice is on a frag plug, you can see the raised middle section. It just grew over it and spread to the rock work. No need to remove from the plug, it gets hidden in time
