Should I rehome and return my saltwater tank because a group of people with science backgrounds said I don't have the education and knowledge about marine biology? They are right (that I am dumb), but I really want to keep my aquarium. I've follow all the guidelines and instructions on proper practices for saltwater aquariums, but I don't have a science degree in the end. Any advice?

NO. Ask them why would you need a degree if a dumb person can do it?

That's just rude and they're wrong, you're not dumb!
What's the saying:
I'm not a scientist...but I'll have a reef tank anyway!
Keep going and share everything with those of us here that support you.
Happy Reefing :)

I feel like there is something going unsaid with OPs story.

Sounds like they volunteered at an aquarium and didn't do a great job, and got some practical feedback, and now has taken that and extrapolated it. Either that, or they really did do something heinous and someone gave them the advice to stop buying animals they can't care for properly.

Willing to go against the grain here - some people really shouldn't have reef tanks. I've seen it a million times in my 15 years in the industry. I've seen people fail to properly care for a betta, after all.

There is a bit of "woe is me" in the original post and I think we're missing a lot of context.

Thanks! This makes me feel better. I experienced a lot of discrimination at the Steinhart Aquarium as a volunteer, because I don't have a marine biology degree. I used to volunteer there to take care of the fish, but the experienced marine biologists over there treated me differently in a negative way.
This happens in a lot of fields. Don't sweat it. As long as your humble and willing to learn. No one should make you feel lesser.
