Can anyone point me towards (if it already exists) a guide to the accepted methods for disinfecting equipment between tanks?

Whenever I try and search for it I find references to bleach but not consistent info on what concentration to mix or how long it has to soak, etc. I've also seen "fully dry for 24 hours" is good enough by itself with no chemical disinfection, and then in a different place that it needs to dry 72 hours.

What about hydrogen peroxide (3%)?

It'd be very helpful to have a guide for this all in one place to reference!

(For what it's worth I do aim to have separate tools for my QT and my display but there are some things that it's not practical, like my testing kits. I worry that even though I'm rinsing out the vials between tanks, I may be transferring something off my fingers onto the jug or baster etc that I'm then using to get the water sample from a different tank. I would feel much better to know I had a solid protocol to be sure they're clean!)

Muriatic acid

Vinegar

Bleach

I prefer vinegar but can be harsh on magnets.

500 ppm bleach (5.25% sodium hypochlorite) and soak for 24 hours and then rinse very well is the absolute best way to sterilize aquarium materials.

Drying for three days usually works, but sea salt is "hydroscopic" so you need to rinse everything very well with tap water before drying.
