Same here. Only talk of goniopora and manganese believed to be linked.I've not heard that gonipora have any special sensitivity to magnesium levels. Is that what you are suggesting? What's the basis for it?

Where can I get manganese?I don’t target feed any of my goni
I do add manganese daily. I feel that’s important.
I have tried all sorts of products to target feed. Reef roids, copepods, plankton, aminos, caviar, oyster eggs, benereef. I get zero feeding response so I stopped.
Light flow and manganese seem to be the key
Where can I get manganese?
In addition to what’s been mentioned in other replies, you can get a big bottle from moonshiners. It’s not the most cost effective but a 20$ bottle will last 1-2 yearsWhere can I get manganese?
Thank you. I just ordered the Manganese 500g.. How much and how often should I dose my 10 gallon tank?In addition to what’s been mentioned in other replies, you can get a big bottle from moonshiners. It’s not the most cost effective but a 20$ bottle will last 1-2 years
What exactly is it?we

No, but you also did not say that’s what it was.Weren’t you the one that recommended the $20 bottle from moon shiners?
It is Manganese 500gNo, but you also did not say that’s what it was.
But that doesn’t tell you what the concentration is so I’m not sure how one could advise you on dose.It is Manganese 500g
It is Manganese 500g
Do you think it seems likely that Goniopora have a higher requirement for manganese? It seems like a lot of people are saying manganese works. Is there any evidence to this claim?I seem to be in the twilight zone. Those words could be 500 g of any manganese product, such as any of several i recommended that are not the Moonshine brand.
In any case, if its a moonshine product, I'll leave the dosing advice to those who recommended it.

How did the first person realize manganese worked? I’m not saying manganese doesn’t help. I know it’s a needed trace element for nearly all life.
I wonder this too. It’s commonly claimed. A little over a year ago my Mn was undetectable. I didn’t have a gonipora. My levels are now detectable, I have a healthy growing gonipora, but I have not deliberately dosed it. I’m sure I’m getting some from my Salt and AFR.Do you think it seems likely that Goniopora have a higher requirement for manganese? It seems like a lot of people are saying manganese works. This and if your Goni is in high flow area I would move to a medium to low flow area . Imo any I’ve ever kept didn’t thrive in high flow . As far as reefroids , it’s great if your system can handle high phosphates if not I’ve had good success using benepets. But overall I agree with vetteguy53081:Yes and also add amino acid and manganese occasionally, Some foods are reef roids, brine shrimp and fish eggs
Proof is in the pudding ! And I will also be the first to admit that what works in my tank and how it’s set up may not work in others and vice versa . For me mine close up after spot feeding while taking in what I feed then open again after what I believe is a consumption period . Imo they do benefit from adding feeding as well as everything else mentioned in better overall color, health, and ability grow and populate . On occasion I’ve experienced some that doesn’t seem to take in what I feed but for those if I mix benepets with oysterfeast then spot feed they usually seem to like that as well and will close up taking in the food .I don’t target feed any of my goni

Do you turn off flow when you feed or leave it on? How much benereef (scoops) do you add to water? Do you have a recipe you follow or do you just take a scoop or two and put in a cup of water and stirProof is in the pudding !
