I thought of another one: if a named coral variety has been around for years and is hard to find and expensive, it’s probably a brutally slow grower or poor survival odds outside of the most skilled growers. Example: Tyree Purple Monster; lots of high end tenuis

If a named coral that used to be super expensive is now cheap… it’s probably easier, frags well and grows fast. Example: Holy Grail Micromussa; rainbow splice, Walt Disney, WWC AOI zoas
