My cats go through periods where, one day, they show some interest in the tank, but for the most part, they don't care. I am wondering if your animals are interested in your tank or ignore it. (one of my two cats for reference)

I have Two cats who couldn’t care less about the aquariums. My FW tank when I was a kid…different story.

The only part of this hobby my cat cares about in any way is algae wafers! Every time I open the package she comes running to beg for one. Except for one she stole, I haven’t actually let her have any- should I let her as an occasional treat? LOL

This is Catie, the reefing kitty. She is on the armrest of my chair in the ReefCave every night. She likes to check out the tanks.

I literally had to put some items for barricade around my tank when I first got it going with animals in it because one of my Boston Terriers would jump at the tank trying to get the fish. She doe good now, and has for a while now. But she was an absolute nut job at first.

Some days I consider this guy an animal. He saw me cleaning the glass and insisted on helping. His favorite is the "blue fish" my hippo tang. 20240710_154811.jpg

Also, one of the cats always likes to watch the water bubble around in the sump. Occasionally I'll catch him watching the fish, but I don't seem to have my camera ready when he is focused.
