I set up another tank a year ago, about one day ago I put in an LPS and soft coral, and they haven't open up fully yet at all - I'd say not even 25 percent. If I feed it would this accelerate the process of having them open up and extend? I know this might sound like a silly question, but I'm curious.

Thanks

The corals may take a bit to acclimate to the tank since your conditions may not be the same as whereever the coral came from. This may be flow, lighting, water parameters, etc that they need to adjust to. Food can entice some species of LPS to extend but I would probably give it some time and they should be extending more.

if there is too much flow in the tank while feeding, its unlikely. corals like LPS show the most feeding response, but in no flow to very low flow.
