Noticed my gold torch had a head in decline for the last few days. Did some testing and parameters got all out of whack somehow.

Alk jumped up 3dkh and calcium high enough to not read on the salifert test kit. I made a mistake somewhere recently but can’t recall changing anything, seems like the last water change I did created an issue.

I’m going to do a large water change right now, cease dosing, and monitor parameters for next couple of days.

After trouble shooting I found that my refractometer was .05 out of whack and this caused my tank salinity to rise to around 1.032. This was exacerbated by water changes using the bad refractometer. I usually calibrate it once a month but have gone a few with just trusting it. Lesson learned.

The leftover space invader chalice after removal has become happy once more. This stuff is like a pest when it is on your rock so I’m not sure if I want to let it invade anymore space!

Tried to multi task during water change and I accidentally sucked up some torch… poor torch, sorry buddy!

Bubble slowly changing the angle of this power head haha. It grows in between the back plate and causes the rubber plugs to come out of their holes.
