And at the other lfs I got him from they were in ten gallon tanks and were still much larger eels that hadn't sold because they only typically sell the younger ones to people

Please do so as soon as possibleso I can get rid of him
Its definitely not enough space for thatNo I'm referring to people who keep them long term even beyond growing up and getting larger, my point is this is definitely enough space to sustain him for a while longer he acts the same way as any other eel and is growing at a normal rate which I'm accounting for so I can get rid of him
That's completely different. No one thinks lfs tanks are good homes...And at the other lfs I got him from they were in ten gallon tanks and were still much larger eels that hadn't sold because they only typically sell the younger ones to people
That's like saying you can keep a cat or dog in a cage ALL THE TIME because they were like that at the shelter...That's completely different. No one thinks lfs tanks are good homes...
Because they need a larger tank, specialized care, still doesn't make it ok !!And at the other lfs I got him from they were in ten gallon tanks and were still much larger eels that hadn't sold because they only typically sell the younger ones to people
Obviously not if they sold you a snowflake knowing it would go into an 18 gallon tank!Good point, but they were definitely still thriving as this is mostly a reputable reef store
4 months with no end in sight...I didn't say all the time.... I've been saying thats he's basically temporary and everyone ignores that
Because you put an eel in an 18 gallon tank for no reason. Stock for the tank you have. Long term stock. Not I want to cramp an eel in an 18 gallon cause its small and just get rid of it and get another fish that has no business in that tank and repeat the process.I didn't say all the time.... I've been saying thats he's basically temporary and everyone ignores that
The guy is trying to sell fishThe guy advised me that once he gets close to full size I should get rid of him which I'm doing
Like, this weekend?I just told you I'm getting rid of him in the foreseeable future
Hopefully, thats the best thing for the eel at this point.Like, this weekend?
And thats the problem. He is going to be cramped in that tiny tank for “the next few weeks” for what reason? Because you want an eel and cant just wait on having one until you have an actual tank for him? @EeyoreIsMySpiritAnimal is right. Very sad.Probably like within the next few weeks
