Yeah, my last delivery came from Arizona, the one prior came from somewhere else - maybe Chicago but I forget, it could have been PA. This one is coming from PA.

I think I saw Scottsdale is the Arizona location when I was looking the other day.
Good to know they still have an AZ location. I thought maybe they closed it because everything I've ordered from them in the last two or three years came from PA (Gettysburg).

They may have moved the AZ location because I know it was not Scottsdale before. It was either Gilbert or Glendale but I'm pretty sure it was Gilbert.

I think out of the 6 or 7 total orders I've placed with them over the years only 2 have come from AZ. I bet Pennsylvania is their main warehouse and has a significantly higher inventory and they keep the more popular, smaller items at the other two locations.

Yes the others are just some of the more common dry-goods type items.

I used to like ordering from saltwateraquarium.com because one of their warehouse locations is (or at least was) in Arizona, I think its Gilbert but I could be mis-remembering. Anyway I would get many items the next day or two days at the most but the last few times I ordered from them everything came from PA and took well over a week. I try not to order from BRS because they have their $1.99 'get-it-this-year tax that artificially delays your shipment unless you belly up the extra buck-ninety-nine. Totally tees me off.

I just placed a small dry-goods order with Premium Aquatics last night and got the shipping notification this morning. We'll see.
I love premium. They have good deals on clearance stuff too.

New ATO tank installed. I like that it's taller than the 10 gallon so there's less water left in the bottom when the pump can't pump anymore.

Okay, now I'm jealous. Winning a bunch of neat stuff is one thing but getting deliveries by 11:00am? Who are you paying off? I almost always get my deliveries between 4pm-9pm, and they rarely ring the bell or knock, just dump it on the doorstep on their way home.

Seriously, that is a great win. If I could only pick one Hydros pack and money was no object. The X4/XP8 Pro combo would be it.

..at least they drop it on your doorstep, my deliveries are usually tied to a tree at the end of the driveway :face-with-rolling-eyes:

The Minnow is out for delivery this morning. Once I get the pH probe (Saturday according to FedEx) I have a few more items to order off Amazon and then I'll mix some 0.1 N hydrochloric acid and check against my Hanna Alkalinity and Salifert tests. If that gives good results I'm definitely going to set it up to be able to run these "automatically" manually.

So hopefully?
Keep us updated !

Would be more insulting if they walked up to ring the doorbell to let you know they tied your package to a tree.

Can you post an equipment list? Sorry if you did already and I missed it

I just showed this to my wife and she immediately said it was just like the mailman in 'Funny Farm'

Premium has become my go to online vendor. In addition to shipping being good because they're a state next door having the sales tax in the price advertised can be a huge savings on big ticket items.

@Kipp's Corals Minnow has 2 dosing heads. It requires 3 technically to run it automatically. I think I've got it figured out where I can manually run it with just the two.

With that said, I was having a discussion on another thread with a gentleman who said the Minnow dosers may not work because they're not stepper motors. What that means is the Minnow runs "too fast" and I'll have to figure out if they'll work.

Automatic Alkalinity testing requires a fill, a dump, and an acid dose. It requires a stir plate and a pH probe.

Fill the beaker on the stir plate with a measurable amount (100mL seems to be the norm/easiest to calculate), slowly add 0.1 N hydrochloric or sulfuric acid (not 0.1 M, must be 0.1 N) until the pH drops to pH 4.1 or 4.0, and then calculate Alkalinity based on how much acid was added.

Full equipment list: 3 dosing heads (preferably one with a stepper or very slow rate - must be VERY accurate), a beaker and stir plate, a pH probe.
